In December or 1979, Dolvin Elementary School, named in honor of the late W. Jasper Dolvin, opened its doors. Dolvin attracted national attention on September 15, 1980, when it was dedicated by President Jimmy Carter, a nephew of Mr. Dolvin.
Dolvin's team of professionals envision the school as an arena to challenge, nurture, and support the growth of our children. The school-wide theme of "Inspire.Challenge.Achieve" pervades the climate.
The Dolvin Foundation is a charitable foundation that provides a tax advantage to donors and capital improvements for Dolvin Elementary. The goal of the Foundation is to enhance the learning opportunites for every student.
Dolvin's PTA is very active. The PTA provides many wonderful programs to enrich our school thanks to the support of our parents and teachers.
Parent involvement is fantastic with close to 800 volunteers helping out throughout each school year.
