Chris Shearer's Message

I am an experienced educator and love to lead change! I find common ground on issues affecting the school community and shape solutions to solve them. I follow four principles in this process. First, I value transparency and authenticity. It is vitally important in education that we are open and honest with each other as well as be our authentic selves. Our students deserve that. Second, I strive to communicate clearly and concisely. Let’s define the conversation and get to the heart of matters that ensure the success of our students. Next, I am present and accessible. I want to be able to interact with the community, particularly the students, and learn every day. Lastly, I like to ask questions and challenge the status quo. Discussions often result in the sharing of innovative thinking as it relates to our approach to teaching and learning. This makes education fresh, engaging, and most importantly, relevant for our students.
