District Device Availability
-
During the first few weeks of schools, a device will be available for all PreK-12 grade students. Students in 3-12 grade are assigned a device they can take home, while early learner (PreK-2) devices are available for daily use at school. Students in 3-12 grade are expected to take their device home, and bring it to school each day, charged and ready to use. If a student needs a device, they should see the local Device Coordinator.
How To Get Technical Support:
- Face to Face Students PreK-12 Grade (Including STEM Students): Students should visit the Device Coordinator at their school for all technical support issues. The Device Coordinator will try basic troubleshooting, Wi-Fi, and power issues. If the issue cannot be resolved, the Device Coordinator will swap the current device for one that is working. When students swap a device, they must turn in the current device and power cable. If the device is damage, lost, or stolen, the fines listed below will be applied to the student’s account.
- FAVE Students: Students should call the Fulton County Service Desk for all technical support issues (470 254-HELP). The Service Desk will try basic troubleshooting. If the issue cannot be resolved, the Service Desk will create an appointment at Global Impact Academy for south FAVE students, and Innovation Academy for north FAVE student, where the current device will be swapped for a working device. When students swap a device, they must turn in the current device and power cable. If the device is damage, lost, or stolen, the fines listed below will be applied to the student’s account.
- Elementary Remote K-2 Students: Students should call their home school to setup a time to bring the current device in. At the home school, the Device Coordinator will try basic troubleshooting (Wi-Fi and power issues).
