Students should be prepared to explain and demonstrate the highlights of their project in no more than 10 minutes.
For the 2005-2006 Technology Fair, each scoring category will have a two-point range rather than the one-point range that was used last year. Therefore, a maximum of 8 points can be awarded for each area. |
TIE- BREAKER
Each year there are a small percentage of projects that result in a tie. In order
to break ties this year, judges will re-examine student projects and use the
student notebook extensively. Therefore, we encourage students to provide accurate
and thorough copies of the notebook. Ties will be broken by using the student notebooks.
On the day of the Tech Fair, two copies of the information in the student notebook should be provided. The Tech Fair Committee will maintain one copy that will not be returned to the student. |

Was the entry original, creative, and imaginative in content and implementation? |

Does the overall design support the project purpose? |

| At the time of the judging, students will be required to: |

|
- Use the program or applications software to demonstrate their projects.
- Demonstrate an understanding of the software as it relates to the project.
- Explain the various aspects of the creation of the project.
- Defend their choice of software for the project.
- Show their notebooks to the judges.
- Answer judges' questions about the project.
