I'm originally from where I attended public schools.  I have a

B.S. in from the University of in Ann Arbor.   I

received my Teacher Certification from in  North Carolina  and Gifted Certification from in  Atlanta.     In 2001, I obtained 


in Science from the National Board for Professional Teaching Standards.  I

completed my Masters Degree in Educational Technology from

in Cambridge, Massachusetts.

          Before becoming a , I worked as a microbiologist in the and  in  .    I have also been  a  and  part-time  .    I've


had experience teaching various levels of from middle school to

high school and have been with    since 1991. 

          I have no idea why, but I am crazy aboutand  .    

I have two wonderful poodles;   , and .   

          I collect and Beatles memorabilia.  My prized Beatle possession

 is  .   I like to travel, read, work with computers and, when

 it's not too hot, to garden!
