Honors (G) Biology

Understanding the relationships in the environment and how biological systems work is an important skill for all citizens in a world that is becoming more technologically driven and complex, and more affected by the presence of humans.

Because students have a basic background in life science from middle school, we will look beyond the obvious and take an in-depth look at biological concepts.  This will include the diversity of microscopic organisms and their role in the environment as well as molecular biology and the impact that it has in our modern world.

Honors Biology will go into more detail than Regular Biology and will help prepare students to take higher level science classes. Emphasis is placed on scientific inquiry and critical thinking at an advanced level. Honors Biology is designed for students who wish to prepare themselves academically for more options.
