Orchestra was selected to perform at the prestigious 59th Midwest Clinic, An International Band
and Orchestra Conference in Chicago (2005)
Orchestra was invited to perform at the Georgia Music Educator's Conference in 2000 and 2005
in Savannah, Georgia. Invited again this year to perform in January of 2009.
The Centennial High School Orchestra was the only high school orchestra selected to peform
at the 58th MENC National Music Educators Conference in Nashville, Tennessee in 2002
Orchestra was invited to European Tour Performance to Austria and Germany in 2001
In April of 2005, the Centennial High School Orchestra toured Rome, Florence, Assisi, Perugia,
Cremona, and Venice, Italy. The students visited the Vatican City, St. Peters Brasillica, and
the Sistine Chapel on the historic day the late Pope John Paul II died. The performance in
Assisi was dedicated to the Pope. This year the orchestra will travel to Prague, Budapest, Eisenstadt, and Vienna.
Other notable performances include performing for Georgia Governors (both Governor
Zell Miller and Governor Roy Barnes) at the Governor's Mansion; performances at the
Symphony Hall (2001, 2004); and, performances for Business Teachers of Georgia Conference
(2001, 2002, 2003, 2004, and 2005) |

Centennial High School Orchestras have earned consistent superior ratings at the GMEA District V Orchestra Performance Evaluation each year
Band and Chorus receive consistent superior and excellent ratings at the GMEA District V Performance Evaluation
each year
Musicians from Band, Orchestra, and Chorus are selected to participate in the Fulton County
High School Honors events and High School All-State Orchestra each year
Marching band was invited to perform in the "Salute to America" parade on July 4th, 2005
Varsity Dance program hosted a very successful Dance Extravaganza featuring dance groups
throughout the community (2005)
Band, Orchestra and Chorus host three formal concerts throughout the year
Theater department produces a variety of plays throughout the year such as: musicals, children's
theater, drama, and the annual mystery dinner. All performances are vey well attended by the
Centennial community
