Friday:                       Depart from Johns Creek HS at 11:00 PM for an approximate 10 hour drive

March 30, 2012

 

Saturday:                   Breakfast stop en route (possibly during driver swap, not included in price)

March 31, 2012          Arrive Washington D. C. and meet tour director at 10:00 AM

                                    Sightseeing:  National Zoo, Vietnam Veteran’s Memorial, King Memorial, Lincoln Memorial,
Korean War Monument, Franklin Roosevelt Memorial, Smithsonian National Museum of American History

Possible performance at a National Monument (TBD by available venues)

OR performance at Washington DC Cathedral (TBD by available venues)

Student Dinner Theater

Hotel check-in:  LaQuinta, Columbia (or similar)

 

Sunday:                      Breakfast at hotel

April 1, 2012              Sightseeing: Arlington National Cemetery, Ford’s Theater and Peterson House,
Smithsonian National Museum of Natural History, Navy Museum

Possible performance at a National Monument (TBD by available venues)

OR performance at Washington DC Cathedral (TBD by available venues)

Mount Vernon followed by dinner at Union Station

Evening guided tour of the Nation’s Capital:

                                    Jefferson Memorial                 Iwo Jima                     Washington Monument

                                    Capitol (outside only)              Kennedy Center          White House (outside only)

 

Monday:                     Breakfast at hotel

April 2, 2012              Sightseeing:  Smithsonian National Air and Space Museum with IMAX

Possible performance at a National Monument (TBD by available venues)

OR performance at Washington DC Cathedral (TBD by available venues)

Visit Capital (contact your state representatives to arrange tour)

Blossom Kite Festival at the National Mall

Holocaust Memorial Museum

Dinner at Hard Rock Café

 

Tuesday:                    Breakfast at hotel followed by hotel check-out at 9:00 AM

April 3, 2012              Depart for home with arrival back in Johns Creek High School at 8:00 PM
