Congratulations to "ALL" Northview Orchestras - String, Concert, Philharmonia, and Chamber for receiving "Superior" ratings at the 2011 GMEA Large Group Performance Evaluation.
The Northview Orchestra program is proud to announce the names of our students chosen to participate in the Governor's Honors Program at Valdosta State University this summer. They are: violist - Chris Chang, violist – Andy Huang, violist – Minjee Kim, bassist – Cameron Ernst, and pianist – Stan Chen. Congratulations to these outstanding students for their acceptance to this exceptional program – they will admirably represent Northview High School .
Congratulations to Northview violinist Stan Chen on being selected to perform the featured piano concerto with the 2011 All-State Orchestra.
Congratulations to the Northview HS 2011 All-State Orchestra Students: Michael Cao, Chris Chang, Cathy Chen, Jee Won Chon, David Chyan, Cameron Ernst, Wilson Gao, Miki Hayashi, Jason Hsieh, Andy Huang, Jean Kang, Minjee Kim, Philip Lan, and Shuo Qian. These students will perform with the All-State Orchestra in Savannah, GA in March.
The Northview Chamber Orchestra performed at the 2010 Midwest Band and Orchestra Clinic in Chicago in December. This was the second time in our 9 year history that the ensemble has been invited to perform at this prestigious event.
