Glass joins Brookview Elem. as principal
Monday, February 01, 2010

The Fulton County School System announces that Dionne Glass is the new principal of Brookview Elementary School. She succeeds former principal Paul Brown, who recently was selected as McNair Middle School’s new leader.

A veteran educator with more than 18 years of educational experience, Glass has served as an assistant principal at Harriet Tubman Elementary for five years. In that role she has supervised and evaluated teachers, assessed instructional programs, assumed responsibilities as student information coordinator, managed the testing process, and served as summer school principal.

Prior to serving in administration, Glass previously was a classroom teacher and a curriculum support teacher at Seaborn Lee Elementary and Harriet Tubman Elementary. While supporting and training teachers on effective teaching strategies, she ensured student achievement remained each school’s focus. In addition, Glass is a qualified trainer in one of the nation’s most successful continuous improvement models, Learning Focused Schools.

Glass attended Jackson State University, where she earned a bachelor’s degree in elementary education. She also holds a master’s degree in Educational Leadership from Georgia State University.

Glass began her new role February 1.
