Dr. Betty Edwards, executive director of the National Middle School Association, recently visited the Fulton County School System.
During her Oct. 8 visit, all Fulton middle school principals were invited to participate in an informal conversation about the future of middle schools as well as hear Dr. Edwards' national perspective on the movement and current legislation affecting education. She then visited Webb Bridge Middle School to meet principal Elizabeth Fogartie, who was recently was named as recipient of the NMSA’s Distinguished Educator Award, and then Crabapple Middle School, to meet principal Kimothy Jarrett, who also serves as executive director of the Georgia Middle School Association, an affiliate of the National Middle School Association.
