Schools are open. However, please expect that traffic may be heavy and some buses will be delayed due to being routed around closed streets. Bus drivers will make every effort to deliver children to their schools and homes in a timely manner but their safety comes first.
Schools were closed Tuesday, as much of metro Atlanta was dealing with the aftermath of the recent heavy rains. Areas in Fulton County experienced flooding and some frequently-travelled roads were impassable and unable to safely accommodate school buses and cars.
