Wall museum greets families of Findley Oaks Elementary
Sunday, September 20, 2009

Students and families new to Findley Oaks Elementary School can learn about the school’s namesake and heritage through a wall museum. Fashioned by an earlier PTA board, the history wall greets families who call Findley Oaks their home school.

The timeline originates with the birth of Benjamin Findley in the late 1800s and also contains genuine artifacts of the time period. Visitors learn how the Findley family made their home in Georgia, and a Findley family tree, framed to display genealogical roots, traces their heritage. A photograph of the school, which was built in 1994, ends the timeline.
