Librarians in the nation’s 123,000 libraries make a difference in the lives of millions of Americans every day. Now is your chance to help shine the spotlight on your school's media specialist.

Nominate your media specialist for the Carnegie Corporation of New York/New York Times "I Love My Librarian Award." Up to 10 librarians/media specialists will be honored across the nation. Each will receive $5,000 and will be recognized at an awards ceremony hosted by The New York Times in December.

The deadline for nominations is Oct. 9.
