Haynes Bridge Middle School Principal Debbie Reeves recently was awarded the National PTA Lifetime Achievement Award at the Georgia PTA’s summer conference. This is the National PTA’s highest award and is given to a person who daily lives out his or her commitment to children.
At the meeting, the Georgia PTA recognized and honored Reeves, who for 35 years has dedicated her life to educating children and youth. This commitment to students has come full circle as one of the students she taught in fifth grade is now a teacher at Haynes Bridge Middle School. Reeves has been a part of Georgia PTA for eight years and has given her talents in many areas – from proofreader to advisor to teacher of numerous workshops for the annual convention and leadership training. In addition to the National PTA Lifetime Achievement Award, Reeves also holds a Georgia PTA Honorary Life Membership.
