When Superintendent Cindy Loe spoke to members and guests at the Sandy Springs/Perimeter Chamber of Commerce at a recent breakfast meeting, she was unaware of a major event on the agenda.

Following her speech, George Bergmark, Friends of North Springs president, presented a check to Dr. Loe and North Springs High School principal Lisa Stueve. The organization recently raised $350,000 for the school. Friends of North Springs is a non-profit, tax-exempt entity formed to support the school financially and enable educational funding beyond what is currently available through federal, state and local tax dollars.
