 Kindergarten Round-Up for

2010-2011 Summit Hill Students!

We invite the families of next year’s Summit Hill kindergarteners to join us for Kindergarten Round-Up Thursday, March 25, at 9:00 A.M., in the Summit Hill Elementary cafeteria!  Summit Hill hosts Kindergarten Round-Up specifically for parents and children who are eligible to attend Summit Hill Kindergarten in August 2010.  We share important curriculum and registration information with parents as well as provide a “virtual tour” of the building and an overview of some of our special activities.  Incoming kindergarten students participate in a brief guided tour of Summit Hill, enjoy a snack of milk and cookies, visit a kindergarten classroom, check out the Media Center, and even board a stationary school bus in the parking lot! 

We encourage Summit Hill families to share the news about Kindergarten Round-Up with their neighbors!  Stay tuned for more information. We can hardly wait to meet our newest Huskies!!

Saturday’s Technology Competition postponed to Feb. 6

The Fulton County Technology Competition, originally scheduled for tomorrow, January 30, is being postponed to February 6 due to forecasts of possible inclement weather. Because the competition draws participants from every school in Fulton County, the event is being postponed for the safety of students and their families who may have to travel long distances.

Parents are invited to take a quick survey about the school system’s cable channel – FCSTV Channel 24. Information gathered will help determine future programming as well as the effectiveness of information currently shared on FCSTV. The survey can be accessed by going to the Fulton County Schools web site, www.fultonschools.org, or by directly visiting www.fultonschools.org/other/surveys/fcstvsurveywinter2010.htm. The survey runs through Friday, February 5.

This system will eliminate the need to send checks to school or worry about lost or forgotten lunch money, and speeds up serving lines in the cafeteria.

For a small program fee, MealpayPlus allows any family to:

• Make a prepayment into your student's meal account using a credit card, or debit card at www.mealpayplus.com. Funds deposited through MealpayPlus are usually available for student use within a matter of minutes.
• Create settings to automatically replenish your student's account when it reaches a low balance

We strongly encourage all parents (even if you do not prepay for your student's meal account) to create an account at no cost through www.mealpayplus.com.
To create a new account, follow the onscreen directions and register your student using their Student ID number.

Get started today!
1.  Contact the school to secure your child's Student ID Number
2.  Log onto: www.mealpayplus.com.
3.  Register your child into the K-12 school meals prepayment system.
4.  Make a prepayment to your child's meal account using the secure website.
5.  OR call toll free: 1-866-243-9535 to make a payment over the phone.
