Spalding has had a fairly liberal policy of allowing parents to walk their children to class.  Most schools have disallowed this practice after the first few weeks of school.  We pride ourselves on having a safe environment in our building and all children should learn the responsibility of going to their classrooms on their own.

Beginning with the publication of this notice and a sign posted at the entrance, no parents will be allowed to walk past the front desk without an appointment to see a teacher or administrator.

The exceptions are for scheduled meetings, or book club and everyone is expected to sign in on the computer or sign-in sheet before entering.

We appreciate your cooperation in this and your support in keeping Spalding Drive Charter Elementary a truly safe and happy environment for all our students.
