Education:Mr. Currie received his B.A. from Morehouse College.
Professional Experience: Roy Shawn Currie has served as Math Instructional Coach at Sandtown M.S. since January of 2006. In addition, he collaborates with public institutions of higher education as well as other agencies, providing leadership to improve the quality of math education while serving as a Pre-AP Consultant for the College Board. He also served as a facilitator for mathematics for grades 6-12 within Fulton County Schools for the past 9 years.

Ms. Nikkole Flowers

Education: Ms. Flowers earned her bachelor's and master's degrees from Florida State University, which is located in Tallahassee, FL. She successfully completed the Teacher Certification program as well as the Leadership Add-On Certification program at Mercer University.
Professional Experience: Ms. Flowers began her teaching career at Brown Middle School, located in the Atlanta Public School system, in 2001. After working there for several years and teaching various subjects, Ms. Flowers transitioned to the Fulton County School system. In 2005, she began teaching at Sandtown Middle School as a language arts teacher and served as the department contact for language arts last school term. She currently serves as the Curriculum Support Teacher (Teacher on Special Assignment).

Hobbies and Interests: In her spare time, Ms. Flowers loves to travel, shop, listen to live music, and spend time with her friends and family.

Ms. Linda Hicks
Reading/Language Arts Instructional Coach

 

Education: Mrs. Hicks received her Bachelor of Science degree in Elementary Education from Albany State University and a Master of Science in Education from Troy State University; She has certifications in Reading Endorsement, language arts, social studies, science, PreK-8 grades.
Professional Experience: As a veteran educator, Mrs. Hicks has had various, rewarding experiences as a teacher of third, fifth, sixth, seventh, and eighth grades with multiple schools systems: Orange County, Florida; Roanoke City Schools, VA; Cobb County, GA; Richmond County, GA and Fulton County, GA. In 2006 she began her work as an Instructional Coach in reading and language arts at Sandtown Middle.

Courtney Warmack
Instructional Support Teacher

Education: Mrs. Warmack received a Bachelor of Arts degree in English from Spellman College, a Master of Exceptional Education from the University of Georgia and a Specialist in Education from Clark Atlanta University.

Professional Experience: Mrs. Warmack began her career in high school as an exceptional education teacher in Fulton County Schools. After two years, she moved to Michigan and taught elementary and middle school exceptional education students for ten years. In 2000, she returned to Fulton County where she worked as an instructional Support Teacher supervising the Exceptional Education Department at Banneker High School. In 2004, she joined the staff at Sandtown Middle School in the opening of the new Sandtown Middle School where she presently supervises the Exceptional Education Department as an Instructional Support Teacher.

Hobbies and Interests: Mrs. Warmack enjoys spending quality time with her husband, two sons, family and friends. She also enjoys listening to music, reading, and watching sporting events.
