Departments
All of our classes
have just completed jump rope skills, with short
and long ropes. We are presently preparing to do our unit
on
integrating music and movement in our school. In this
unit
students will perform movement skills to rhythmical
accompaniment.

The library media center opens for student and staff use Monday through Friday at 7:20 A.M. Children are encouraged to checkout and return materials regularly. We have an open schedule and students may visit the library media center anytime during the school day with a pass from their classroom teacher. Our primary goal is to provide materials for reading and research. We have over 15,000 items. Students should visit often. We want them to become lifelong learners and good consumers of information. Parklane's Technology Lab has moved into a larger room. We are now able to have 24 computers available for student use when classes come to the lab. Additionally, we have 2 smaller labs, a media center mini-lab, and 2 mobile wireless carts. We have added several new software programs as well as making use of digital cameras, a Promethean boards, and other equipment. We have placed an emphasis on using the Lab and our school's software programs to help in meeting our school objectives. Classes come to the Lab with an emphasis on Language Arts and Math. |
