Two Brownie Troops earned community service badges by
collecting and donating books to Parklane for National D.E.A.R. Day.
Students at Parklane are celebrating Drop Everything And Read April 12th,
by choosing a book and choosing to READ! Girls in Troop 23308 attend Creek
View Elementary School, Parklane's sister school, and the other girls in
Troop 3148 turned their collection into a schoolwide project at The
Children's School from midtown Atlanta.

Procedures
We welcome and encourage students to exchange books often. Our school library operates on a flexible schedule, which means it is accessible throughout the school day.
Students may return books and magazines before 7:45 A.M., but should go by their classroom first. After 7:45 a.m. until 2:20 p.m., each student must have a library media center pass from his or her teacher or staff assistant.
Checkout privileges are as follows:
Kindergarten - Circulation begins when the classroom teacher decides the student is ready
1st grade - 1 item
2nd grade - 5th grade - up to 2 items (see student handbook)
We encourage all students to get a free public library card. Residency in Fulton County is the only requirement.
