Edible Garden Planted at Palmetto Elementary

Pametto IIIPalmetto Elementary became another among the cluster of 19 schools in the HKSK Program that started its own edible garden.

Under a bright sun and cloudless sky, principal Maureen Wheeler led a large collection of students, staff and volunteers in digging and planting.

"It was a perfect planting day," she said. "The kids had a blast and learned a lot!!! When they say a picture says a thousand words it is so true. Just look at the students, staff and volunteers who came out to take part in the planting. Kudos for all of your great work and we look forward to the harvesting."
