Chess Club

The Chess club was established in 1998, making it one of the oldest clubs at Mimosa. It meets on Wednesday mornings from 7:30 to 8:00, and is open to students from second to fifth grades. This year there are around 100 members. The club closes out each year with a tournament that generates a lot of interest among its members. Faculty advisors to the club are Dave Ferguson and Brian Meyer, ably assisted by volunteer Larry Davis from Verizon Business.
