Biographical Information

I’m originally from Pensacola, Florida but have lived in Georgia for the past 35 years. I did all my undergraduate and graduate studies at Georgia State University. My original career plan was to enter the field of microbiology research. However, I decided to teach for a year at a small private school before going to graduate school and loved it. That year changed my career plans, and I returned to school to study secondary science education. I have been teaching ever since.

I’m married to a wonderful man who is a computer engineer, and we have no children. I have one brother. All my family lives in Atlanta.
