I am originally from Queens, New York, where I attended public schools and college. In 1976, I married and moved to St. Croix, U.S.V.I., where I began my teaching career. I taught elementary school there for nine years before relocating to Atlanta with my husband and two daughters. Upon my return, I began working towards a Master’s degree in reading education while continuing to teach at the elementary level.

Current Projects:

• Encouraging teens to read for a variety of reasons; preparing for Teen Read Week sponsored by the American Library Association.
