 McClarin High School is proud to announce Health & Wellness as our 2008-09 school-wide initiative.  Along with an overall emphasis on health & wellness, the entire Westlake cluster has become a “Sugar-Free Zone.”  Our goal is to produce healthy kids and smart kids!!!

Text Box: CTE Guest Speaker Series
The CTE department will be holding a 5-part guest speaker series throughout the remainder of the school year with Mr. Arnold Curtis.  Mr. Curtis is an Energy Analyst with Georgia Power, and he will be providing McClarin’s students with valuable job training and skills.  His first lesson in the series will be on 2/18/09.
Text Box: Money, credits and your resume! Youth Apprenticeship Program (YAP) !!!
We are still accepting applications for the Youth Apprenticeship Program (YAP).   Students who are currently employed in a career-related industry may be eligible for the 2008-09 program.  Please see Mr. Brinkley or Ms. Burrell for more information.  Approved participants who have already been selected and notified.  Our next meeting will be the week of February 2nd.

Don’t forget that the GHGST will be given the week of March 16-20.  In preparation for the exams, McClarin will offer a GHSGT Jeopardy program on March 3-4, and a Test Prep Marathon the week of March 9-12.

February = CTE Month!

 

February is CTE month in Fulton County Schools!  Be on the lookout for guest speakers and special activities in McClarin’s CTE department as we celebrate CTE month in February.
