- Contact one of the following substitute teachers before you call CASE (except in the event of an emergency).
- For absences that have not been pre-approved (emergencies) call CASE as soon as you know you will be absent. Contact Mrs. Rhodes at 770-774-8830 between 5:00a.m – 6:00a.m up until 10:00 p.m. the night before, or between the hours of 5:30a.m – 6:30 a.m. Please do not leave a message on the school voice mail message system .
- If you are unable to call into CASE to report your absence, you will need to contact the help desk at 404-763-5524 .
- Employees must leave voice messages (special instructions) for substitute teachers, giving grade level, type of school assistant, assigned duties, etc. Your lesson plans must be available.
- Lesson plans must always be available on your desk. Emergency plans will only be used in the event of an “emergency”.
- If you cancel the absence, you must also contact the substitute to let the person know not to show up for the job. Failure to do so will result in the leave being counted against you anyway.
- Substitute teachers will not accept an assignment without a confirmed CASE job number.
- All employee absences must be reported in CASE, even if your position does not require a substitute teacher. Please remember to confirm your absence with the substitute. Also, make sure that the substitute is aware of your new job location – LIBERTY POINT. (Note: if your work location is different this year, you will need to contact Linda Coffey to be sure that the information has been changed and is correct).
- For more information on leave policies, please see the Liberty Point Faculty and Staff Handbook.
