SEABORN LEE ELEMENTARY INSTALLS FIRST BETA CLUB MEMBERS Seaborn Lee Elementary School installs its first class of National Junior Beta Club Members. During an induction ceremony held Thursday, November 4th, twenty-three 5th grade students took the National Beta Club oath and received certificates from National Beta Club Field Ambassador Geraldlene Henderson. Guest speaker, Marci Early, a former Seaborn Lee student and current Westlake High School Magnet program member, stressed to the students the importance of setting and attaining their goals. Miss Early and Mrs. Henderson along with the students’ parents assisted with the pinning ceremony for new inductees.

The Beta Club is the nation’s largest independent, educational non-profit, youth organization. Its purpose is to encourage and reward academic achievement, and to promote those qualities of character that make for good citizenship. To qualify for membership into this honor organization, 5th grade students must be currently working at or above grade level and show creditable academic achievement. The National Beta Club -Junior Division is coming to Seaborn Lee.  The Beta Club is the nation’s largest independent, educational non-profit, youth organization.  Our purpose is to encourage and reward academic achievement, and to promote those qualities of character that make for good citizenship. Qualifying students are 5th grade students (only) that are working at or above grade level and show creditable academic achievement. Notices have been sent home with eligible students.
