Family
and Consumer Science offers electives such as Early Childhood
Development, Parenting and Internship. Each course utilizes the
Internet for additional information and introduces students to
resources that they can access long after the class has ended.
A 16-unit wireless laptop lab was received by this department
in 2006 and has been instrumental in the success of our student's
studies. Students are anxious to use the state-of-the-art laptops,
and they are used extensively each class period throughout each
day.
In
addition to classes, this department includes the Parenting
Education Program which encompasses the Daycare
Center and Parent Support
Group.
