The Guidance and Counseling Department offers a variety of services, including but not limited to:

  • Classroom Guidance
  • Scholarship Information
  • Joint Enrollment/Post Secondary Options
  • Apprenticeship Program
  • Test Administration/Interpretation
  • Parent Conferences

Throughout the year, students are exposed to various workshops, college fairs and site visits in order to provide a wealth of information regarding post-secondary options.

Workshops include:

  • Financial Aid Workshop (Georgia Finance Commission)
  • GCIS (Georgia Career Information system) (College/Career Counselor)
  • Post Secondary Options (College/Career Counselor)
  • Career Guidance (Georgia Perimeter College)
  • College/Career Fair

Site Visits include:

  • Georgia Perimeter College
  • Lanier Technical Institute
  • Art Institute of Atlanta

Students are served on a daily basis by walk-in and appointment. Counselors are available for guidance toward graduation as individual courses are completed. Assistance with post secondary applications, individual counseling available by appointment.
