The school community of Hamilton E. Holmes is committed to academic excellence. The Hamilton Holmes’ school community is dedicated to developing a community of learners that includes students, teachers, and parents, and we commit ourselves to continually strive for excellence.

Hamilton E. Holmes Elementary opened in the city of East Point, a southern suburb of Atlanta, Georgia, in August 2003. Our school serves approximately 600 students in pre-kindergarten through fifth grade. In addition, we also house the South Metro Psychoeducational Program and special needs pre-kindergarten inclusion class. We offer our students a challenging learning environment in a state-of-the-art building. Our school is equipped with cutting-edge technology to enhance the instruction of our students and to prepare our students for the demands of a technologically-advancing world.

School Hours:

7:40 a.m. -2:20 p.m.

Students should be in class by 7:40 a.m. and will be counted tardy if they arrive after 7:41. For our dismisal policies, visit the School Policies and Procedures

Breakfast: Breakfast is free for all students. Breakfast is available from 7:00 AM to 7:35 AM.
