Pre-K to 2nd grade
3rd to 5th grade
Galileo Kids Page Intended for users between grades three and seven. Offers age-appropriate databases and Internet resources for elementary and middle school students.
Grolier Online* Grolier Online puts the world at researchers’ fingertips with 117,760 encyclopedia articles, plus a wealth of additional resources available only in the online format.
Gale Infotrac A comprehensive periodical resource that puts more than 39 million database records at researchers' fingertips.
KidsHub.org KidsHub is a non-commercial educational portal that features free online interactive learning games, puzzles, and quizzes.
Wordmaker Word Maker helps beginning readers understand similar word patterns by having them create rhyming words (word families). Students match letters and blends to a common word ending. Immediate feedback is given.
Venn Diagram Students determine the necessary information for the comparison of two items. This is a very open-ended, interactive tool that can be used with all subjects. The site has a tutorial included.
Stapleless Book Students create their very own book. They decide the page layout and content for up to six pages. Students type in the text, print out the book, assemble the pages, and add artwork, if desired. This tool provides motivation for student writing.
EdHelper Requires a membership, but plenty of free resources are also available
Time Line Students can choose whether to create a chronology of a time period, an event, or even a specific day. This would make a great intervention to help kids stay organized. It's easy to use.
