Ms. Poole grew up in Hickory, NC and attended the University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill where she earned an undergraduate
degree. She joined Fulton County
Schools as a teacher in 1997. She
holds both a Specialist in Education degree and a Master of Education degree,
both from North Georgia College and State University.
Ms. Poole is also certified by the National Board for Professional
Teaching Standards. She has been
active in curriculum development and implementation in Fulton County.
In addition, she is trained as a teacher support specialist and has
mentored teachers new to the profession.
Ms. Poole has two children, Zac, a sophomore in high school, and Laura, an eighth
grader. Ms. Poole’s husband Mark
teaches eighth grade in Fulton County.
During her free time Ms. Poole loves to read or play golf.
