Connie Coles

Ms. Coles is a native of Atlanta where she attended Fulton County Schools as a student at Campbell High School in Fairburn.  She now resides in Berkeley Lake, GA.  (If you have never heard of BL, it is a small city between Peachtree Corners and Duluth.)

Ms. Coles has worked in Fulton County Schools for 23 years in elementary and middle schools in north and south Fulton.  Prior to coming to Esther Jackson, Ms. Coles was a Curriculum Assistant Principal at Holcomb Bridge Middle School.   Ms. Coles has a Specialist in Education degree from the State University of West Georgia, a Master of Education degree from Georgia State where she also received an endorsement in Gifted Education , and a Bachelor of Science in Education from Georgia College.

During her tenure in Fulton County, Ms. Coles has been a teacher, curriculum support teacher, and assistant principal.  She has been involved in Curriculum development and implementation and has served on many county-wide instructional initiatives.  Most recently, she served as a system trainer for the Georgia Performant Standards.  She is trained as a teacher support specialist and has served as a coach for new teachers across the district.

Ms. Coles’ favorite subject is her family.  She has a daughter, Ansley, who is in the third grade and a son, Carson, who is in kindergarten.  She is able to maintain her professional reponsibilities at Esther Jackson because of the support of her husband, Nathaniel (Nat), who works in property management and development for the Southern Territory of the Salvation Army.
