3rd Grade

Exciting and Unforgettable

Third grade at Creek View is an exciting and unforgettable year. Students participate in opportunities that promote academic, social, and emotional growth. In addition to the regular curriculum, we include Fall Festival, Georgia Day, and Camp-Learned-A-Lot. During the Fall Festival, students are engaged in a variety of activities that enhance skills taught in language arts and math. Georgia Day culminates our social studies unit on Georgia history. Georgia culture is brought into the classroom through story telling, food tasting, games, and special guests! Students look forward to Camp-Learned-A-Lot all year long. It is a unique celebration of accomplishments, friendships, memories, and growth attained throughout the year.
In third grade students are encouraged to become more organized, responsible, and to set goals for themselves. We work with our students on their organizational skills daily and help students to become more independent and self-motivated. They learn how to plan ahead for long-term projects through book reports and other projects that are given throughout the school year. Students also work hard each grading period to reach their reading and math goals, and afterwards they participate in celebrating their accomplishment! By the end of the third grade year, each student has grown in a number of ways and is fully equipped with the skills needed to be a successful fourth grader.
