One Soldier's Story - October '05

Principal's Welcome
Third grade recently had a visitor in uniform from the war in Bagdad. Mr. Jeff Hardt was back in the States for a few days and took an afternoon to answer students’ questions about the war.
Students wrote their questions on note cards prior to Mr. Hardt’s visit. A few of the questions asked were “If Sadam is captured, why is the war still going on?”, “When will the war end?”, and “How do you feel about being in the war?” Mr. Hardt told the students their questions were well-thought-out. Of course, some questions were on the lighter side, such as “How old is your girlfriend?” and “Do you have a salt rifle?” (Student’s spelling).
Mr. Hardt is stationed with the Military Intelligence Company (MICO) in the city of Bagdad. He is a local Georgia middle school history teacher and graduate of Kennesaw State University. He thanks Creek View for allowing him the privilege to be with our children while away from war.

Special visit from soldier Jeff Hardt. He answered candid questions from 3rd grade students.
