PTA

Welcome
Welcome to Creek View Elementary School. The CVES PTA has many opportunities to become involved at Creek View and participate in programs that serve your child. The PTA Executive Board has been working over the summer to develop plans for the year, from fundraising to support the academic needs of the school to fun family events that will be enjoyed by all. All of these programs rely on one crucial ingredient... you.

Please consider joining us in support of our students this year. Initial involvement starts by becoming a member of our PTA. Your PTA membership helps support programs at Creek View, in the state of Georgia and on a national level. The Creek View PTA works through several committees to implement programs for the school. Any of these committees -- Academic Affairs, Ways & Means, Hospitality, Communications and Health & Environment -- could benefit from your time, creativity and talent. If you are unsure which committee suits your unique skills and schedule, please contact a PTA Board member. We would be happy to help you tailor your involvement to suit your interests and needs.

We know the year ahead is sure to bring great things... the wonder of learning, the smiling face of a child enjoying a special moment, family memories that will last a lifetime.... Come join us as we work together to make a difference for the children of Creek View.

Your PTA at Work

PTA supports our school with advocacy, volunteers and fundraising. Our volunteers assist in the classroom, Science Adventure Zone, PAT room, and even from home to support our students and teachers. PTA funds many academic programs including the Science Adventure Zone and Young Authors Project. We provide supplemental funds to classroom teachers, the Media Center and academic departments to purchase materials ranging from books to software. We sponsor an annual Reflections contest to encourage students to express themselves through the fine arts. The PTA promotes community with Red Ribbon week, Walk to School day, Blood Drives and campus inprovements. We keep a focus on family with fun-filled events such as Fall Carnival and Basket Raffle, as well as "Lunch & Learn" educational programs for parents. We thank our teachers with monthly Staff Appreciation Luncheons and Teacher Appreciation Week in the spring. Through the years, our fundraising campaigns have provided major improvements for the school including interactive technology in the classroom, playground equipment and a new gym floor.
Our successes are the result of the generous support of our PTA Membership & Volunteers! If you are interested in becoming more involved with your PTA, please contact one of our board members!

The PTA Mission is three-fold:
  • to support and speak on behalf of children and youth in the schools and before governmental agencies and other organizations that make decisions affecting children;
  • to assist parents in developing the skills they need to raise and protect their children;
  • to encourage parent and public involvement in the schools of this nation
