February Forum-Pondering a Global Classroom

Creek View is pleased to be hosting an Elluminate Live on-line Forum to discuss the global classroom, the classroom without walls. If you are interested in listening, contributing or chatting about the future of K5 classrooms, this forum is for you. You may be wondering, "Is everyone really doing it?" Is everyone really using technology more than you are? The answer might surprise you. This forum is intended not for the technical elite but rather for those of you who still don't see how all this 'stuff' is really going to improve education. Chances are, you are a seasoned educator with an excellent track record. Your students flourish in your classroom even without the bells and whistles. So what's the big deal? Can anyone really point to a viable model for the global classroom?

During the forum you will be able to view examples of what some teachers are doing and together we can talk about the practical aspects. How much time does it really take? How can this kind of thing become a natural part of the curriculum, or can it? The forum is intended to spur a dialogue that will hopefully continue and perhaps with any luck we will make some discoveries along the way that will be useful to each of us.
