Student Programs

Programs Meeting the Needs of Our Students: Our school is participating in a reading intervention program (At Promise) for students in Grades 6, 7, and 8. This program is designed to address the needs of our students who are experiencing reading difficulties two years or more below grade level. This is our school's eighth year with Multi-Age Teams. Our school received a $100,000 grant from the Fulton County Board of Education for the implementation of this program. We have two teams of 6th, 7th, and 8th grade students taking classes together. This organizational pattern allows students to develop at-their-own pace, and move between levels when they are developmentally ready. Another feature that makes our school unique is that we are an Exceptional Education Center.

Special services are provided for the Talented and Gifted, Visually and Hearing-Impaired, Learning Disabled, Speech/Language Impaired, Autistic, Severe Intellectually Disabled, and the Orthopedically Handicapped.
