End of Course Tests (EOCT)
The Georgia Department of Education has developed end-of-course tests in select academic areas (9th grade Literature, American Literature, Biology, Physical Science, Algebra I, Geometry, Economics, and US History). Effective beginning with the fall 2004 administration of the exams, the EOCT will be used as the final exam in affected courses. Final exam grades from the EOCT will count as 15% of a student's final grade in the course. EOCT scores will become part of the student's permanent record.
