AMMS Drama Club Wins Georgia One Act Festival The Autrey Mill Middle School Drama Club won the state One Act Festival on November 14, 2009 at Carver Middle School in Monroe, Georgia. The AMMS Drama Club presented “The Audition” by Don Zolidis at the Kotler Memorial One-Act 2009 State Festival for Middle Schools. The cast and crew is made up of approximately 35 sixth, seventh and eighth graders. Walker S., Sage W., Lauren G. and Jacob K. took home awards for individual performances. Maggie S. led the crew backstage. |
Eco-Adventure Club Rafting on the Ocoee River The AMMS environmental group, Eco-Adventure, meets weekly to collect the school's recycling, participate in environmental lessons, and hike at the Autrey Mill Nature Preserve. We also go on weekend trips. On October 10, 2009 the Eco-Adventure Club went rafting down the Ocoee River in Tennessee. Our group of students, teachers and parents got really wet but had a great time! |
