First, there was CBE (Competency-Based Education) with the Basic Skills Tests and then QCC (Quality Core Curriculum) with the CRCT (Criterion-Referenced Competency Tests) and the GHSGT (Georgia High School Graduation Test).  The EOCT (End-of-Course Tests) for eight subjects were not far behind.  And, now, it is GPS (Georgia Performance Standards) and the realignment of CRCT, GHSGT, and EOCT.
