Chorus

The AMMS chorus is open to all interested students regardless of experience. Chorus meets on a daily basis during the grade level connections period and provides vocal development in a choral setting to all young singers.

The Treble Honors Chorus is for students desirous of more advanced study and rehearses after school each Wednesday from 3:50-4:45. Membership in this chorus is by audition only for those students already in the regular chorus class.

Concerts occur regularly thoughout the school year and the dates are found in the school calendar. Anyone interested in joining the AMMS Chorus should see Mrs. Ray in room C106 for more information.

WEEKLY REHEARSAL SCHEDULE

Treble Honors Choir(all grades)	Each Tuesday 3:45 – 4:45 pm, September 2 through end of year
All State Auditionees (grades 7-8)	Each Monday 3:45 - 4:45 pm, August 25 through Oct. 8. Those passing the audition on October 13 willrehearse at this same time beginning again in November – a schedule will be sent home at that time.
6th Grade State Honors Chorus	Each Tuesday 7:45-8:15 am, December 2 –February 3
District V Honor Chorus (8th grade	Each Thursday 7:45 – 8:15 am, September 18 through November 6
ACDA Auditionees (all grades)	Each Wednesday 3:45-4:45 pm, August 27 through September 24. This group will meet in the mornings from 7:45-8:15am on Early Release Days.

Additional concerts usually arise as the year progresses. These will be sent home in separate memos. There are always after school rehearsals that are necessary for some concerts and the musical. Occasionally changes are necessary. You will be notified of any changes that occur to the existing calendar along with rehearsal reminders as soon as they occur via email.
