What is the Dual Diploma?

Career-Technology Seal of Endorsement - awarded if four Carnegie units are earned in Career-Technology programs with at least three from one specific area of concentration in Career Technology; such as 3 units from any one of the following areas:  Business Mgt., Information Technology, Drafting, Pre-Engineering, Family and Consumer Sciences, Professional Foods, Electronic Media.

This track of study allows students to concurrently graduate with both the college prep and career technology diplomas. In addition to being well-prepared for college, the Dual Diploma student will also receive specialized technical training in one of these fields: Business and Information Technology, Family and Consumer Science, Professional Foods, Pre-Engineering, Drafting, Electronic Media Production.

Why choose the Dual Diploma?

It’s a specialized program of study! You will develop useful, real-life skills in addition to meeting college preparatory requirements!

You have a better chance of being accepted into a specific program of study within the university of your choice! (For example, did you know you not only have to apply to get into UGA, but you must separately be accepted into the College of Education as well?)

It looks great to universities!  Go for the dual diploma in your respective field, and prove your dedication and interest in that area!
