Karen Bolt, Counseling Department Chair, Caseload Sn - Z -- email Mrs. Karen Bolt has been a counselor in Fulton County for 7 years. Karen is married to Bill, and they have two sons; 21 year old Will, and 18 year old Daniel. The family is not complete without their bulldog, Bob. Karen graduated from Converse College with a degree in Teaching the Hearing Impaired, and she obtained her Masters of Education in Counseling from The University of South Carolina. Mrs. Bolt's case load includes students with the last names beginning with Sn through Z. Some of her duties include counseling department leadership, graduation, and the GHSGT. Stephanie Coleman, Caseload Le-O -- email The 2006 – 2007 school year will be Stephanie Coleman’s first year with Fulton County. She received her undergraduate degree from the University of Virginia earning a Bachelor’s in Psychology. Upon graduating, Stephanie served two years as a Teach for America Corps Member and taught high school special education at in rural North Carolina. After several years as a nonprofit fundraiser and grant writer in Southern California, she returned to education and received her Masters in Education from North Carolina State University. While pursuing her masters, she was the 9th and 10th grade counselor at Bunn High School in Franklin County NC. She and her husband, Geoff, had their first son in June.
Shannon Cone, Caseload P - Sm -- email Shannon will be the counselor serving students with last names that begin with L-Ra. He joined our Counseling Department from Riverwood High School in Sandy Springs . Before coming to Fulton County , Shannon worked in higher education at Georgia State University's Housing Department and earned his masters degree in school counseling at GSU. He is from the Charleston , South Carolina area and earned his bachelors degree in Psychology from Francis Marion University in Florence, South Carolina . Some of Shannon 's duties and responsibilities include: joint enrollment, ESOL buddy counselor, national Merit, and creating our guidance and counseling website. Keisha Iton, Caseload Cor - Gr -- email Keisha will be the counselor serving students with last names that begin with the letters E-K. She was born Eukeisha Lachanda Iton, in Peekskill , New York on January 20, 1979 to Beverly and Keith Iton. She resided in New York until the age of 6 until her family decided to relocate to Miami, Florida where she attended grammar school and junior college. She then moved back to her home state where she attended St. John's University on a full basketball scholarship and received her Bachelor's degree. Wanting to pursue her Master's Degree in School Counseling, she relocated once again to Atlanta Georgia , where Clark Atlanta University became her 3rd alma mater. Additionally, Ms. Iton has taken on the competition and challenges of being the Girl’s Junior Varsity Basketball coach. Some of her duties “off the court” in the counseling office include, but are not limited to: AP testing coordinator, Governor’s Honors coordinator, and Scholarship Coordinator. She has no children, but has a dog named Aspen. She also has 3 sisters and one brother.
Dee Webb, Caseload A - Coq -- email Dee is the counselor serving students with the last names that begin with the letters A-Coq. She is married to James Webb and they have a 21year old daughter and a 16 year old son (senior at AHS). Dee graduated from the University of Tennessee with a Bachelor of Science in Psychology. She received her Masters in School Counseling from Tennessee State University. Dee has 15 years of experience in the Counseling Field. Prior to opening with AHS, Dee was a counselor at Milton High School. Dee is the coordinator of the AHS College and Career Center where students and parents can receive valuable information to assist with planning their future after high school. Some of her other responsibilities and activities include: 10th Grade Guidance, coordinating PSAT and EOCT, Summer school, School Profile, Girls State, STAR Student, Dee is the counselor serving students with the last names that begin with the letters A-Coq. Brenda Lewis, Counseling and Records Secretary -- email Brenda is the Counseling and Records Secretary at Alpharetta High School. She is married to Mike, and they just celebrated their daughter Lori's wedding. Lori is a school teacher and she and her new husband live in Massachusetts . Their son, Ben, a graduate of Chattahoochee High School in 1999 and a college graduate of Marshall University, now works for UPS in Los Angeles, California. Brenda graduated from the University of Alabama with a degree in Secretarial Education. Brenda was raised in Decatur, Alabama. Early in her marriage, she and Mike lived in Birmingham, Alabama. They lived there for six years and then moved to Overland Park , Kansas where they lived for 13 years. She and Mike have been Atlanta residents since 1994. Brenda loves to travel and read. |
