Fourth and fifth grade students may campaign to participate in the Student Council organization. Student Council sponsors various activities, participates in events and provides service projects for the school.

Alpharetta Elementary fifth grade students may apply to become a member of the safety patrol squad. Safety Patrol members have stations in the hallways before school and during dismissal to answer questions and guide students.

Fifth Grade students may assist in the library by managing the circulation desk, caring for shelves and performing other tasks as requested. Students work in the Library Media Center before school and during dismissal.

Each week a third grade student takes home Alphie, a stuffed eagle. A relative will take Alphie to work during the week and return the stuffed eagle on Friday with a poster highlighting the job that Alphie did that week. The posters are displayed in the hallway and a different job is highlighted on the morning announcements one day each week.

Contact Amanda Fischer for more information.

Alpharetta second graders and select Milton Freshman English classes come together once a year to collaboratively write and illustrate stories. Each freshman student creates a story to dedicate to a second grader and in return each second grade student composes a story assisted by the freshman.

Our Special Helpers assist our exceptional friends to mainstream into regular education programs. These students make it possible for our special friends to participate in events, such as dances, physical education classes and musicals.
