Parent and community support is a most important component of successful education. Alpharetta Elementary Local School Advisory Council (LSAC) is an advisory group made up of parents, teachers, business partners and school administration. This group looks at the strategic plan, budget plans and building needs to decide what is best for student achievement and the Alpharetta Learning Community.
Every public school in Georgia has a local school council. The Alpharetta Elementary school council consists of:
- Two parents.
- Two certified teachers.
- Two businesspersons.
- The principal.
Georgia law detains the composition of the council, its responsibilities, and the procedures for conducting business. For more information and training please go to the Georgia School Council site.
