Principal’s Welcome Letter

Welcome to River Eves Elementary School - Home of the Eagles!

It is a privilege and honor to be the principal of River Eves Elementary School.  Our goal at River Eves is to educate the entire child and to instill in our students a love for learning which celebrates their creativity, initiative and individuality.  When you set foot on our campus you will immediately feel our strong commitment towards children. We are a community of learners in a welcoming, clean, safe, and student-centered environment.

Student achievement continues to be the heart and soul of our work at River Eves.  We strive to help every student reach their potential. Through ongoing grade level collaboration, our teachers have developed a program that exemplifies high academic standards and the use of appropriate standards-based materials and research-based instructional strategies. The well-trained and experienced staff meets student needs through individualized and dif­ferentiated instruction. We analyze classroom data as well as state assessments and set goals to meet the needs of the whole child. Student progress is consistently monitored with the use of standards-based common assessments. In addition, we have a systematic process of interventions to support learning for all students.

Parent and community involvement is vital to the success at River Eves. Through ongoing communication with our classroom and school newsletters and website and various new and existing partnerships, we are confident that River Eves will continue to be an out­standing school that promotes academic and social-emotional growth for all students.
