- Read ahead for Accelerated Reader.
- Celebrate reading success with ice cream sundaes scooped by the Media Specialist.
- The grade level with the most books read per student will have a SURPRISE reward!
Book recommendations are due by:
August 19, 2011.

RECOMMENDATION DIRECTIONS:
- Write a short summary of the book. Describe the characters (who), setting (when and where), and the plot (what happens).
- Explain why you would or would not recommend the book.
- You must include the title and the author.
Please include the following:
- Your first and last name
- 2010-11 Homeroom Teacher name
- Parent signature on top sheet of completed summaries
Grades K – 1:
You are required to write 5 or more sentences, or draw a picture about the book and write 1 or 2 sentences to explain your picture. (Parents may help as needed)
Grades 2 – 3:
You are required to write 6 or more complete sentences in your summary.
Grades 4 – 5:
You are required to write 10 or more complete sentences in your summary. |
