Message from Our Principal

Welcome to Mimosa Elementary School’s website!  Mimosa has had the privilege of educating Roswell’s children since 1968, and this year will be no exception!

Whether you are a current parent or a prospective new addition to our school, I welcome you to explore our website and learn about all the wonderful things that happen at Mimosa on a daily basis.  Our staff is dedicated to providing our students with a rich, engaging, and rigorous academic environment that challenges our students to reach their academic potential.

In addition to our commitment to academics, I think you will also see on our website the involvement of business partners, an active Parent/Teacher Association, and the enrichment activities our students receive through the hard work of everyone at our school.  Mimosa is a school that works hard to help not only our students, but our parent community as well.  We have a well-stocked and wonderfully staffed Parent Resource Room that will assist our parents with many of their needs from job applications to academic solutions for their students.

At Mimosa, our focus and commitment is on helping students reach their academic potential in the most critical areas.  Each year, we do this by involving the staff in planning and writing our School Improvement Plan.  Our plan helps us focus on three areas: to improve math, to improve reading and language arts, and to improve writing.  Throughout the day, our students and staff incorporate these learning focuses in every area, including our music, art and PE classes!  Mimosa is a truly focused academic environment that looks at each child as an individual and provides the very best education for all!
